Our Last Night in Omaha

Yesterday was our last full day in Omaha and our last night sleeping at the apartment.  With all of the furniture already packed, Marley had extra room to play like an excited puppy.  This is a picture of his playful face – I just think he’s the cutest dog in the world!  Look at those big floppy […]

Friends Forever!

My wonderful friend Jenni stopped by to say good-bye today.  She even brought me an awesome going-away present.  I have collected Willow Tree angels for almost 10 years, but I still had not received the “Friendship” angel until now!  I’m really looking forward to moving into our new place and finding the perfect spot to […]

Only a couple more days…

Until the start of College Football season and until Becky and I start our new adventure in AZ.  These last three weeks have flown by and the goodbyes have not been easy for either of us.  It will be tough pulling out of Omaha one last time, but we are so excited for this next […]

Tomato Corn Chowder

Tomorrow is my last day working at URS Corporation.  My time with the company has been filled with many ups and downs, lots of travel for field work, and some big-time learning/growing experiences.  While working at URS, I was fortunate enough to get to know a few amazing people…  most of whom I now consider […]

Farewell Dinner with Emily & Alex

Farewell Dinner with Emily & Alex

When you decide to move half-way across the country, you get all kinds of opportunities to meet up with friends and family. My good friend from high school, Emily and her awesome boyfriend Alex, met up with Justyn and I for dinner last Tuesday.

We had great conversations over wine, beer, and pizza at Pitch in Dundee. Dining at the Pitch Pizzeria was a first for Justyn and I, but it’s certainly one of Emily & Alex’s favorite places. We were so glad they suggested the place, the food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was fun and very contemporary.

Emily, you will truly be missed! When I first moved to Omaha, I could always count on you for support (not to mention your willingness to share a bottle of wine). You’re such a darling girl and a wonderful personal who I’m proud to call a friend! Justyn and I also completely approve of your man, he sure seems like a pretty good catch. You two better not forget to visit us in AZ!

Hello Family and Friends!

Justyn and I are going to make an attempt at blogging!  We think this will be a great way to keep in touch with everyone back in the midwest.  The idea is to frequently post about our lives in Arizona.  Our blog will include pictures and stories about what we did for fun over the weekend, where […]
